Graphic Designer Role
Riley Engineering is recruiting a talented and motivated graphic designer/content creator. Riley Engineering is a civil engineering firm specializing in water resources engineering. Our mission is to engineer and implement solutions to provide society with water infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Develop visual communication solutions for proposals, project reports, and client outreach/marketing materials (graphic covers, templates, layouts, and supporting graphics)
- Support special events (client receptions, trade shows, etc.)
- Create promotional materials, which may include:
- Brochures
- One-pagers/line cards
- Riley Engineering website
- Presentations
- Business cards
- Aerial map exhibits
- Multimedia graphics
- Videos
- Trade show booth banners
- Signage and graphics for various conferences and events
- Advertisements
- Email marketing graphics
- Recruiting packets
- Digital campaigns and graphics
- Print campaigns and collateral
- Support brand awareness campaigns
- Shoot photo and video for project highlights and other photo/video needs, sometimes accompanying engineers to site visits/field work to capture good images
- Manage photographer and videographer vendors for special projects
- Manage print vendor relationships and collaborate to manage and check print deliverables
- Work closely with colleagues across the firm to create a brand and style guide

Minimum Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience, including corporate and/or agency experience
- Proficiency in Adobe CC (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat)
- Ability to use InDesign software for layout of complex documents
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Riley Engineering is a PC-based company)
- Familiarity with broader design trends
- Innovative, able to see and create what could be, not just slightly improve upon what already exists
Valued (But Not Required) Qualifications
- Experience in AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction) industry
- Video production and/or editing
- Experience with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in design, visual arts, marketing, communications, or related field
What We’ll Expect From You
- Part-time hours for now (29 hours or less per week on average, depending on your availability and project needs)
- Live in Tucson, AZ, and work in our office in historic downtown Tucson (hybrid options available on a case-by-case basis)
- Self-motivated, must have ability to find information and learn new skills and complete tasks as required for project needs
- Flexibility in job duties; other duties may be assigned depending on overall needs of the team and current projects
- Ability to work with others on a team to complete projects
- Flexibility to periodically work outside normal business hours as needed
- Willingness to travel occasionally in support of remote projects and teams

- Salary Range: $25-$45 per hour, depending on experience
Placement within the salary range is dependent on direct experience and/or budget.
