PCC Board of Governors District 1 Candidate Forum
Pima Community College is hosting public forums for members of the community and College employees to get to know the two candidates running for the District 1 seat on the PCC Governing Board.
Michael Duran and Mark Hanna are seeking the seat held since 2001 by Brenda Even. Voters will have the opportunity to pick a successor in the Nov. 4 election.
The forum at the Northwest Campus on Oct. 20 will be moderated by Jeremiah Palicka, student leader in the PCC-Northwest Campus Student Government Association and Yvonne Venalonso, Student Life Team member and former student leader at PCC-Northwest, in collaboration with PCC Adult Education’s Student Leadership Council, League of Women Voters and Expect More Arizona.
Members of the community and College employees may submit questions in advance of the forums by sending an email with “PCC candidate question” in the subject line to Michael Peel, Government Relations Advanced Analyst, mpeel@pima.edu. Peel may also be reached at 206-4844.
PCC is governed by a five-member elected Board. Members serve six-year terms and represent Pima County electoral districts. The Board determines the mission and sets the goals for the College.
More information about the candidates is available at www.markhanna.com and www.duranforpcc.com.
