(BJS) is a well-established, full-service facility maintenance company built on a simple promise — a cleaner, safer, and healthier environment for every organization it serves. From single offices to complex operations exceeding one million square feet, BJS partners with clients across manufacturing, high-tech and clean-room environments, high-security and multi-location facilities, schools, and general office settings, delivering exceptional results at competitive prices.

The company was founded in January 1990 by Oliver Ibeh on the belief that “with hard work, anyone can achieve the American Dream.” After earning a B.S. in Management and working his way through college, Mr. Ibeh researched the janitorial industry and launched the business with just a $200 investment in equipment and supplies — serving as both janitor and salesperson. Early subcontracting work in Phoenix, Arizona earned roughly $1,000 a month before he began winning direct contracts, starting with Superlite Block in 1990 and Williams Detroit Diesel in 1991.

Growth came steadily. BJS incorporated in Arizona in June 1993 — the same year The Business Journal named it one of the region’s top 25 janitorial firms — and introduced a distinctive Quality Assurance Program grounded in site-specific specifications, honesty, and integrity. In 1996 the firm landed its first major contract with Motorola (now General Dynamics), growing to 50 employees and $800,000 in annual revenue, and invested in its people through EEO/Affirmative Action and safety programs, background checks, competitive wages, health insurance, paid vacations, and a 401(k) plan.
