I walk an older adult's home and write down what I find. Rookstone Home Safety provides in-home safety assessments for people aging in place, covering more than 340 checkpoints across seventeen areas of the house and yard. Every finding is photographed and written up in plain language, then sorted by what should be done now, soon, or eventually. A memory review adds more than 55 checkpoints when memory loss is part of the picture.

The assessment answers the question a family is actually asking. Can this home be made safe, or is it time to consider a move? Both answers are real ones. I am a certified Senior Home Safety Specialist through Age Safe America, and I do not sell home modifications, placement, or care, so the report has nothing to steer a family toward.
