July Guest Speakers and Topics:
Who's driving the seemingly driver-less car in the next lane? Learn what lies ahead with new transportation technology at this month's Business Connections Quarterly Luncheon. University of Arizona systems and industrial engineering professor Larry Head has been a leader in vehicles that "talk" to each other and navigate roads largely without human involvement. He will speak on automated driving vehicles and separating hype from reality. Southern Arizona, an emerging leader in transportation technology, is getting a boost from the year-old Transportation Research Institute at the UA. Our other speaker will be lobbyist Michael Racy, who will speak on local transportation issues, including the latest on the corridor for proposed Interstate 11, and issues in the Arizona Legislature.
